Lisa Ardovini is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience working in community based and outpatient settings with clients of many different backgrounds. Lisa’s approach is compassionate and empathetic assisting others to improve their mental health, especially anxiety, depression, family issues, grief and loss, and challenges with adjustment or aging.
With years of experience, Lisa has developed a person centered, trauma informed approach with the people she serves. These include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and motivational interviewing. Lisa is EMDR trained and can assist individuals in recovering from past trauma or symptoms of PTSD. Lisa has experience working with individuals 55 years and older with knowledge of chronic illness, and most specifically working with individuals living with Parkinson's Disease. She holds a masters degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Bonaventure University with an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Buffalo.
